The 1000# Project kicked off Nov. 15 at the Caterpillar Visitors Center in Peoria, as part of our Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders Conference. An estimated 200 people turned out at our second annual event, and we couldn't be more energized by the ideas and enthusiasm of those who attended!
As part of The 1000# Project, five diverse leaders and their teams announced five projects to improve our city. This new community initiative is challenging our young leaders to use “their unique skills to impact the greatest needs of the community by applying 1000# of effort to get 1,000,000# of results.”
The Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders Conference offers attendees the opportunity to network with leaders in business, education, and numerous other fields, and serve as a resource for current and future professionals in all industries.
This year's Conference featured a panel of Peoria’s strongest entrepreneurs, including Christine Deehring, Founder, Bump Box; Deepak Gaddipati, CEO, VirtuSense Technologies; Seshadri Guha, CEO and Founder, TADA Cognitive Solutions; and Dr. Luke M. Haverhals, Founder and CEO, Natural Fiber Welding, Inc. Their innovation and insight and hard work are truly inspirational.
Thank you to all who made this event such a resounding success! Good things are happening in our communities!
