Chuck Weaver's service in the State Senate comes to an end
1/5/2021
State Senator Chuck Weaver (R-Peoria) has announced his resignation, which took effect Sunday, January 3.
This announcement comes nearly a year after he announced he would not seek re-election.
Senator Weaver served in the Illinois Senate since 2015, representing the 37th District of Illinois, which includes ten Central Illinois counties that are north and then east and west of Peoria.
Chuck donated his legislative salary to local charities, including his work with “Leaders Change Illinois,” which launches new projects aimed at improving our community. Through that program, he and his wife have served as project mentors and have funded 110 grants for $1,000 each to new community leaders who are launching new ideas to impact local communities.
Weaver will be succeeded by Senator-elect Win Stoller, whom he supported after announcing his intention to retire from the State Senate.
